  1. Republicans

If you want checks and balances instead of polarization, first picture a three-party democracy, then a membership organization of the people, by the people, for the people that directs your power toward positive change. It starts with you and me.

When did we first miss this opportunity?

On July 11, 1804, Alexander Hamilton was mortally wounded in a duel with Aaron Burr (Thomas Jefferson's Vice President) and passed away the following day.

Our country took a wrong turn that day!

With Hamilton's death, the hope for a strong third party also disappeared. The two parties we have today are the result of a split in the once-united Democratic-Republican Party and the eventual decline of the Federalist Party, which advocated for a strong federal government with the power to coordinate national policy and regulate key issues like finance, trade, and defense—believing this would strengthen and unify the young republic now known as the U.S.A.

It is never too late to build a more balanced three-party system by creating an entity that is of the people, by the people, and for the people, modeled after the balance among the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial branches and their checks and balances.

A Department of Vision and Opportunity calls for reevaluating our current two-party system by establishing a third party — a Federalist Party Movement.
